5-Day Email Course – Finding A Niche Market

Before you can start your internet business, you need to know what your niche will be. Let me give you the definition of a niche. A niche is a smaller part of a bigger market, here are a few examples to explain it.

Golf is not a niche, but golf sticks, golf swing, golf shoes, are all niches. Another example; a dog is not a niche, because it is too broad, but dog training and dog toys are niches.

Narrowing Down A Niche

Dog training can be turned into smaller niches, like Bulldog training, dog obedience training, or puppy dog training, just a name a few. You can build a website around any of these niches!

You need to find a particular audience when you write to them, so you can really connect and speak with them as effectively as possible.

This will lead to more trust, interest and ultimately more conversions, your goal when creating an internet business.

Also, by narrowing your niche down, it will be easier to get rankings in Google. You should not under-estimate the traffic potential and sales when you get ranked on the first page of Google.

If you keep following the steps and training, it is not as hard as you think. It will become easier when you decide to go for another niche.

Tips To Decide What Niche To Choose

This could be one of the biggest parts to figure out. You can learn from my mistakes, because I will help you to figure out what niche you should get yourself into.

You can also read the page how to find a profitable niche market. There are many tips how to chose a niche that will be profitable.

If you have a look at the niche marketing guide, you will know where to look for niches. There are many online places that can give you good ideas for a niche.

1. Look For Something You Have An Interest in

If you do what you love to do, you’ll never have to work a day in your life. This definitely applies to creating an online business.

The less you feel like you’re “working” the easier it will be and the more likely you are to be successful.

If you choose a niche you are not interested in, you will have a difficult time to turn it into a profitable niche. So you need to choose something you are interested in, like a hobby or a passion.

Write down what you could use as a niche, and narrow it down. You should end up with a niche where you want to get into.

2. Think Who Your Target Market Is

Before you start thinking what products to promote, you’ll need to know who you will be marketing to.

You have to think who your audience is, what their needs are, and what information they are looking for that would be beneficial for them.

If you don’t focus on it, you may find it very hard to write for a particular audience. That is why it’s important to narrow down your niche.

3. Don’t Think Too Long About Your Niche

You can take some time to think about a niche, but don’t overdo it. A day, or at the most two days, is more than enough. It does not have to be perfect because you can always change it later.

The point is to get into the training process and setting up a website (more on this in the next lesson).

Many people will have a niche before they find the one that really fits them. This is a perfectly normal process.

If you have to start over, finding another niche, you will find out that the whole process will be much easier than the first time.
