Inbox Dollars Review: Why You Should Not Become A Member
Name: Inbox Dollars
Web Address: inboxdollars.com
Refund Policy: Not available
Owner: Daren Cotter
Overall Rank: Not good
Overview Of Inbox Dollars
This is one of the Inbox Dollars Reviews to protect you from wasting your time with them. (Inbox Dollars is absolutely not worth spending your time on). Inbox Dollars started in 2000 and is a product from Daren Cotter. They also have another site, based on the same system, called sendearnings.com. Both of these sites are registered by CotterWeb Enterprises Inc.
To become a member, you must reside in the United States. After you signup with Inbox Dollars, you have to answer questions about your personal situation to get the right offers. Once you are finished, they will put $5 on your Inbox Dollars account. This is what they use to get many people to sign up for their website.
You then have to fill in all the information in a profile survey what will get you $0.50. This is done to get you surveys and other offers based on your answers. After this, you can search for surveys and see how much you will earn with it. Some surveys don’t earn you money, but points that you can redeem for cash or goods. You have to be careful here as some sites ask for personal information and you can expect your mailbox to be filled up with spam.
If you want to give an email address, it would be a good idea to open a new email address with a good firewall. You will get lots of emails and it is also difficult to unsubscribe from the emails. Because of this you have the risk of getting your computer infected with malware, spyware, or other unwanted infections.
Beware Of Identity Theft
If that is not all, the amount if information you have to give, can be used for identity theft. You have to be careful here with all the information you have to give. On some third party sites they will even ask for credit card information. NEVER give credit card information to anyone online.
Making Money With Inbox Dollars
There are several ways to make money with Inbox Dollars; mostly its about taking surveys but you can also play online games; do some internet searches; redeeming coupons; online shopping; reading emails; watching video ads, and more. The good thing here is that you can do this all from your computer or smart phone. But there are much better work from home jobs.
Inbox Dollars will send you surveys in your mailbox that you qualify for, and also in your dashboard. Many of the surveys let you answer questions to tell you at the end that you don’t qualify for that survey. It can take you just 5 minutes but also up to 30 minutes to find out that you don’t qualify. In other words, you did a survey but didn’t got paid for answering a lot of questions, and this happens many time.
Every time you login to your dashboard, you will get $0.02 per day. For reading and responding to an email, you will get between 1 and 10 cents. It is not much but you read emails anyway, so you might as well profit from reading these emails. When you also take advantage of the advertised product, you will earn additional money.
Making Money From Signing Up For Websites
You can also make money for signing up for websites. For instance, eBay will pay you $6 when you sign up and place bids. One warning here, don’t think lightly about placing a bid, because every bid you place is legal agreement and must be paid. If you think to place a $1000 bid on something simple, like a second hand radio, the advertiser can have you sued and you will have to pay that money.
There is another website called Stamps.com, where you can earn $10 for signing up. Here also a warning because it’s a trial program, and if you don’t cancel before the end of the trial, you will be billed $15.99 each month until you cancel.
You can also win some extra money with the Spin and Win wheel. If you get on a price, then it suddenly moved on to the next spot, and you get nothing or at the most just a few cents.
Can You Make Money with Inbox Dollars?
There are people who are making money with this program, but it’s a long and time consuming job. Most of the surveys will get you $0.25, not even worth mentioning it. And there is a big chance you won’t qualify for the survey or all the positions are already filled. There are easier ways to make money online.
You can expect to get up to 3 emails a week, depending on how actively you participate in the program. If you live outside the U.S. you will get less emails. In fact, there is a big chance you cannot participate in the program. The surveys you get are not going to earn you much money: only $0.50 to complete a survey from 30 minutes and $0.25 if the survey is between 10 and 15 minutes.
Not Qualifying For Surveys
Many people don’t qualify for certain surveys because they are too old, have the wrong ethnicity, or they just got told they don’t qualify. Sometimes this happened after taking a survey for 10 minutes. So, the company got answers to their questions and you got nothing! Some members complained that they never received the money for filling in a survey or completing offers. This makes this whole program a scam.
Many times when people had almost reached the payout amount, they would not get surveys anymore. Some people who made enough money for a payout, never got their money because they got accused of violating the rules, or they had their Inbox Dollars account deleted or deactivated for inactivity. This so called breaking the terms of service happened many times. You can read many reviews about this on Sitejabber.com.
If you happen to find positive Inbox Dollars reviews between so many negative reviews, then you can assume it is a fake review. Some people get paid to write a positive review, but it can also be one of their own people who wrote a review. As always, if it sounds too good to be true, you can be sure it is a scam.
To get your $30 pay-out, you also need to pay a processing fee from $3. If you don’t want to pay the processing fee, you have to get to $40 within 30 days, but that is hard to do. They will suddenly stop sending you surveys, so that you won’t reach $40, and if you don’t do anything, they will terminate your Inbox Dollars account for inactivity.
Here is what they will tell you: “Payments are not processed for inactive accounts”. To receive your check you need to be an active member and still click on paid emails that will be send to your email address”. It can take up to 16 days before a check will be paid out and all that time you have to read emails they send you and click on the links. For future payments it will take between 3 and 9 days before any payment is made.
If you don’t visit any of the service platforms or click on a link in a paid email within a 10 day period, your Inbox Dollars account can become inactive. Payment requests will be removed if an account becomes inactive. When your account is inactive for 6 months, it will be canceled and permanently removed and all cash and other items will be removed.
Now you can understand why it takes 16 days before you get paid: As it takes a long time to reach $30, many people will stop with the program and don’t click on links in emails anymore. Inbox dollars then have a reason to terminate your account and keep your money.
And if you make good money, more than $300 at one time or $600 during a calendar year, they will ask you for a 1099 tax form before they will pay you. If you cannot deliver this 1099 tax form, you can be sure you won’t get paid. They can place any payment on hold, or even remove it, for any reason if an Inbox Dollars account is in violation of the terms.
Too Many Rules Working Against You
And if you think to complain by the BBB (Better Business Bureau), you can be sure your account will be closed. Inbox Dollars know how to keep your money and they have many ways to do that. That’s why this program got the verdict Scam!
It is very clear, although it cannot be labeled as a scam because some people do make money, it is very hard to make some money. Sometimes it is even harder to get your money paid out. But, as you could read in the beginning, there are people making money with this program.
The amount of money is ridiculous low for all the work that you do and definitely not worth spending your time on. And you can expect problems – not getting paid – if you ask for a pay-out. That is why the verdict is SCAM!
After doing some research, another similar website showed up, named InboxPays.com. This is exactly the same as Inbox Dollars where you can earn money for taking surveys, reading emails, doing market research, spinning the wheel, and more. Here you can also expect to receive up to three emails per day. Another similarity is the $5 sign up bonus. And you can be sure this is a scam too, only from looking at their slogan: “Make lots of cash on a single click!”
